Analisis Cemaran Bakteri Escherichia Coli pada Jajanan Telur Gulung di Pinggir Jalan Kecamatan Kota Baru Kota Jambi

Makanan merupakan suatu hal yang menjadi kebutuhan pokok bagi manusia, mulai dari proses sampai siap dihidangkan dapat memungkinkan terjadinya pencemaran oleh mikroba. Jajanan makanan di sajikan di tempat yang terbuka sehingga menyebabkan makanan tidak sehat dan berbahaya untuk dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya cemaran Escherichia coli pada jajanan telur gulung yang dijual dipinggir jalan kota baru kota jambi. Metode eksperimen pada sampel jajanan telur gulung yang dibiakan pada media EMBA (Eosin Methylene Blue Agar) terjadinya kekeruhan yang menandakan adanya pertumbuhan bakteri pada sampel. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi STIKes Keluarga Bunda Jambi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pertumbuhan koloni Escherichia coli pada media EMBA. Hasil pertumbuhan koloni pada media EMB agar ditemukannya pertumbuhan koloni dengan ciri-ciri koloni ukuran sedang bewarna keruh atau hijau metalik. Berdasarkan hasil reaksi biokimia dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada sampel makanan ditemukannya cemaran Escherichia coli dengan persentase sebesar 100%.
